I am very sad to hear about Alice's death. She was always kind and interesting to talk with. She was a smart, active, involved, and good-hearted woman who was a friend, fellow book and nature lover, and hiking companion for years. I will not forget her.

Jane and I are very sorry we unavoidably missed Alice's Memorial Service. We were members of the church with her for many years but did not get to know her well until we all were in a non-fiction book group together. What a delightful, kind and intelligent person she was! It was a pleasure just being in he presence. The community, and of course her family, is greatly diminished by her passing. Our sincere condolences.

My heart is so saddened by this news. Alice was an inspiring naturalist who loved working with people of all ages, but specifically children. Her wildflower walks, photography, and knowledge of butterflies will live on with us here. She will be missed greatly by our staff.
