Louis J. Balogh, 85, of Akron went home to be with the Lord, December 7, 2017. A life resident of the area, Louis was born February 21, 1932 to the late Joseph and Anna (Szabo) Balogh.

 

He was a graduate of Kenmore High School and the University of Akron and a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired with 32 years service with Goodyear as a design engineer. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing.

 

Preceded in death by his brothers, James L, Charles J and Ernest E. Balogh,  Joseph C.; nieces, Emma Cook and Pat Bowman; grand-nephew, Brain Balogh he leaves to cherish his memory, sister, Ann (Todd) Wingerter; brother, Frank (Dolores) and many nieces, nephews and special friend, Cleo Lacefield.

 

A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the  Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd Akron. Burial will be held 2:30 p.m.Thursday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Rittman, Ohio 44270.
