William Trumpold born February 20, 1930 passed away November 23, 2016. Born in Cedar Rapids Iowa to the late Ernest & Helen (Baumgartner) Trumpold. Three generations of his family participated in the settlement of the now famous historical AMANA COLONIES in Iowa. William enlisted in the Navy in December, 1948. Served time on the SARDA USS 488.

He attended COE college in Iowa and obtained his BA in Mathmatics and attended The University of Akron and received his MA in Statistics. He retired from Lockheed Martin in 1990. He enjoyed Birding and Barbershop singing.  William was a member of S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A, and the Derbytown Chorus from the Akron Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. He was a tenor for The Interludes Quartet, along with Jim Bouterse, John Rohal and Ed Egan.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Roberta Lee McKee whom he married in 1956 and his second wife, Mary Lou (Singleton); he leaves behind his Daughter Deborah Trumpold (W.C. Longacre) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; son, Michael (Kim) Trumpold of Green, Ohio and sister-in-law, Margaret Crosier (McKee). He was blessed to have a loving family through Mary Lou. He leaves behind his daughters, Valerie (Jim) Thompson, Diane (Bob) Bergdorf and Jamie (Chuck) Loughry; son, Jim Floyd; thirteen grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Special thanks to his best friend, Rip Wilson, who stayed by his side through the last 10 years, driving him places, working crossword puzzles, having meaningful and spiritual conversations and keeping his mind sharp! Margaret Crosier, for putting your life on hold, to care for Bill 24/7, so that he could live in his own home Sherry & James Carnahan, the best neighbors & friends that anyone could ask for.  They cared for Bill over the last 28 years.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Funeral services will be held11 a.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
