Our dear Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend, born Sept. 25, 1949 in Akron to Raymon and Sarah Long passed away, Monday, March 6, 2017, due to complications from cancer. We know that she is in heaven free of pain and keeping an eye on us all.

She graduated from Hower High School in 1967 and worked at a variety of jobs for many medical organizations in NE Ohio, making hundreds of friends along the way. From doctors, orderlies and many friends and characters in need, Beany was a confidant and counselor to all.

Beany was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Sarah and brother William. Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Vicki Guilliams, granddaughters Ryann (fiancé Keith Despot), Tara and Emily Guilliams. Brother Phil (Roya) Long, sister Lori (Daryl) Miller. Nephew Michael, great-grandson Charlie, special friend Jim Schultz and many additional relatives and life-long friends. The family would like to thank the Visiting Nurse Service Hospice Care Center staff for the gentle care they provided.

Beany’s family will receive friends and relatives during calling hours at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Home 788 Kenmore Blvd. Akron, Friday, March 10, 2017, from 7-9 pm. A celebration of Beany’s life will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the Akron Baptist Temple 2324 Manchester Rd. Akron, with Pastor Ed Holland officiating, Viewing will be at 1 pm and the service will begin at 2 pm. Internment will be at Lakewood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to the American Cancer Society, (www.cancer.org) the Visiting Nurse Service Hospice Care Center, (www.vnsa.com) or, the charity of your choice.
