Peggy Cameron Obituary

Peggy Jo Cameron died October 20th,2018 after a courageous fight with emphysema. She was born in Cullman AL on May 1st 1944 and moved to Akron OH with her parents in 1951. Peggy worked in the family business "Hammond Movers" and took over when her mother passed in 2004.

Peggy was a hard working, problem solving, book reading, puzzle loving, family supporting inspiration that touched many lives. She was a strong woman that beat cancer, loved her family without question and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved reading her books, doing her puzzles and spending time with family. Her true faith in GOD is what  made her such a strong, family oriented, woman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest "Ed" Cameron; father, "Bo" Hammond; mother, Ruth "Nan" Hammond; sister, Carol Charley and daughter, Brenda Cameron. Peggy is survived by her children, Vikki (Mike) Kimble, Vallery (Chris) Covell, David (Lenora) Hopson, Glenn Cameron, Tim (Maria) Cameron, Bruce Cameron; her grandchildren, Amber (Anthony)  Holcomb, Brittany West, Lorryn (Brian) Rucinski, Chris "CJ" Covell, Kyle Hackney, Eric Hodgeman, Rachel Marshall, Donald Marshall, Stephanie Marshall, Tiffani Whitmore, Sara Hopson, Mandi (Erik) Bakos, Michelle Kimble; her Uncle, Fred (Jeanie) King who was more like a brother to her than an uncle, sister, Deborah Fenton and her best friend for over 60 years Kate Whitecotton who is family and more like a sister than just a friend. Peggy also had 11 great-grandchildren and too many nieces, nephews and cousins to even begin to name.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate if you made donations to #Kaylynn Strong at https://www.gofundme.com/3l8dhfc  to be used for her great granddaughter Leukemia treatments.
