Alfred F Houpt

Alfred F. Houpt, 98yrs. of Akron, went home to be with the Lord August 28, 2015.

Born in Mercersburg, Pa he was a resident of Akron where he retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber after 30yrs service and later became a Mixologist for the Mayflower, Youngs and Fairlawn Country Club. He was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple and a veteran of the United State Army where he served in WWII.

Preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret; sons, Gerald and Alfred, he is survived by daughter, Cheryl (Joseph) Walker; daughter-in-laws, Valerie and Donna; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron, where Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
