Alice Jean Suchka (Metarko), age 93, was born on November 28, 1932, and passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 30, 2026. Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose warmth, wit, and creative spirit touched everyone who knew her. She had a special way of making people feel cared for-whether through her humor, kindness, or something lovingly made by hand or in her kitchen.

She was preceded in death by her forever love and beloved husband, Charles Suchka; brother, George Metarko; parents, Andrew and Margaret (Nee Pearhac) Metarko and step-father, Valentine Hite and her cherished granddaughter, Angela McDonald. Alice is now reunited with Charles, the love of her life, bringing comfort to all who knew how deeply they loved one another.

Alice is survived by her loving children, Becky (William) McDonald and her son, David Suchka (Tracy); grandchildren, William McDonald (Angela), Amanda Hyatt (Zach) and Alexis McDonald; great grandchildren, Eddie, Zaine,  Aryana,  Billie Jean, Aerabella,  Presley and Genevieve.

Alice was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, where she was actively involved with the church baking ladies, and she was also a member of the Kenmore Senior Club. She will be remembered for her loving heart, quick wit, creativity, and the love she shared so freely with her family and community.

A special thank you to Tracy Cox for the daily talks, Saturday lunches, and devoted time spent with Alice-it meant the world to her.
