Some people measure a life by the number of years lived. Those who knew Benjamin Hutchison know a better measure is the number of lives touched. Benjamin passed away on June 18, 2026, at just 20 years old. Though his time with us was short, he filled those years with adventure, laughter, loyalty, and a love for people that cannot be measured.

He was born on September 27, 2005, in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from St. Vincent St Mary High School in 2023. He received a degree in civil engineering technology from Stark State in 2025. He worked as a successful engineering designer and owned his own company -Landzscend Designs.

His family will forever remember his quick wit, his sense of humor, his adventurous spirit, and the countless memories that always seemed to end with everyone laughing. He had an uncanny ability to make even ordinary days memorable. Benjamin lived with an energy that reminded all of us not to wait for tomorrow to tell someone you love them or to enjoy the people around you.

He never met many strangers, only friends he hadn't made yet. His smile could light up a room, his laugh was contagious, and his presence had a way of making everyone around him feel welcome. Whether you had known him for years or had just met him, Benjamin had a gift for making people feel like they mattered. He had a heart that naturally gravitated toward those who were often overlooked. He quietly stood beside people who felt left out, judged, or forgotten. He believed everyone deserves kindness, friendship, and someone willing to help.

He loved the thrill of life. Cliff jumping was one of his favorite adventures, and he had a passion for cars that could turn an ordinary conversation into an hour of excitement. He loved sunsets. But more than the hobbies he treasured the people he shared them with. His family and friends were the center of his world.

Benjamin leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory with them every day: his parents; his step-parents; his three siblings; his grandparents; aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and an extraordinary circle of friends who became family.

While our hearts are broken by losing him so soon, we refuse to let tragedy define his story. Instead, we choose to remember the young man whose smile brightened every room, whose kindness lifted those around him, whose adventurous spirit inspired others to embrace life, and whose love for family and friends will never fade. Benjamin's life reminds us that greatness is not found in the number of years we are given, but in the love we leave behind.

Every time we watch someone leap fearlessly into life's next adventure, we'll think of Benjamin. His story was far too short, but it was beautifully lived. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
