Brian O’Neil Jones of Akron, Ohio, passed away suddenly at the age of 67. He was an avid member of the VFW and American Legion. He was honorably discharged from the Navy, his highest respect to the military. He was a kindhearted, yet tough and determined man. He would always tell of his times in the Navy, being very proud to be a sailor.

He was one to give small speeches about life and his outlook on it always ending with “God loves ya”. He always expressed his concern, love and appreciation for those he cared for, always generous and willing to lend a hand. “may he continue sailing on in the afterlife”. He was an avid OH sports fan and loved Cleve football.

Brian is preceded in death by parents, Adrian Leroy Jones and mother, Theresa Ann Jones ( Kaiser) (deceased). He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Jones; stepson, Greg Carpenter (Colleen Considine); granddaughter, Anna Carpenter; brothers, Dennis, Doug (Diana), Scott (Nancy) and Craig (Vanessa); good friend Justin, as well as best friend, Dave Neal.

Brian will be sadly missed by many friends and family.

A public memorial service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later time.
