Danny Wayne Fisher was born in Medina, Ohio on July 19,1949, as the only child
  
  
   of William Wayne Fisher
  
  
   and the former Betty Dunn, and passed on May 21, 2016
  
  
   of heart failure at the Cleveland Clinic. He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years,
  
  
   Carol
  
  
   Belchambers and his beloved mother, Betty Bretz.
  
 
 
 
 
  
   He graduated from
  
  
   Wooster High
  
  
   School in 1967 having
  
  
   already
  
  
   acquired
  
  
   the two passions that would carry through his life: golf and music.
  
 
 
 
 
  He was a member of the Wooster golf team and then worked at courses in Ohio, California   and Georgia before becoming a touring PGA member in 1976.  After completing his Bachelor
 
 
  of Business Administration degree at Kent State University with a marketing major in 1988, he became the Head Golf Professional at Juli-Fe' View Country Club in Orrville  ('93-'95) and at
 
 
  Mayfair Country Club in Uniontown ('97). He was a Teaching Professional at Riverwoods Golf  Course, Mud Run Golf Course and others and at the Challenge Golf Course & Driving Range,
  
   where he had particular gratification aiding and tutoring handicapped individuals. In 2009, he
  
  
   retired and became a Life Member of the PGA of America. His knowledge of the sport
  
 
 
  
   was comprehensive and he treasured his associations with Chi-Chi Rodriguez and other
  
  
   champions that he knew. He often attended World Series of Golf events in Akron and was
  
  
   a great admirer of the career of Tiger Woods.
  
 
 
 
 
  His lifelong commitment to musical interests included his being the very exciting drummer in several Northern Ohio rock bands of the sixties, including The Madhatters; The Olivers, who
 
 
  recorded a single in 1966; and The Spoon Jobs. He also sang and played guitar and organ. Amongst the artists that he particularly enjoyed and attended many performances of were Bob
 
 
  Dylan, The Beach Boys, The Byrds, Joni Mitchell, and Neil Young, whom he first saw in 1967  and met in 1999.  After marrying Carol, the love of his life, he also acquired and shared her
 
 
  devotion to Neil Diamond.
 
 
 
 
  
   Danny and Carol lived in Akron and had many cats and other animals that they treasured.
