George R. McClure

George R. McClure, 69, of Massillon went home to be with the Lord, on Saturday, September 26, 2026. He was born on April 2, 1956, in Berkeley, West Virginia to the late Denver and Glenna (nee Brown) McClure. He was a resident of Akron, Ohio for many years.

George was very slick and funny. He had a way with words to get what he wanted and made everyone feel important, special and loved. He enjoyed riding his Harley and eating his ice cream. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family. George was very charming and smart. He loved telling jokes and his stories. He was a jack of all trades and could do anything that needed done. He weas also a veteran of the United States Navy.

George loved his family and his biggest pride in life by far were his children. Losing him will be felt every day.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John and sister, Dreama. He is survived by his children, Jennifer (Anthony) Graves, Christy McClure, Denver McClure and Zachariah McClure; grandkids, Isaiah Sanders, Richard Graves, Racquel Graves, Jayden Graves, Blake McClure, Messiah Wright and Brendon McClure; eight great grandkids, siblings and many nieces and nephews

Per his wishes cremation will take place and private family services will be held.
