Ian Nicholas Vince, 27, of Barberton, OH, passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2026. Ian was born February 16, 1999, to Jamie Johns and Todd Vince in Akron, OH.
Ian was preceded in death by Connie Johns, Jr. (grandfather).He is survived by Jamie Johns (mother), John Birkbeck (father), Ronita Johns (grandmother), Hannah Vince, Olivia Vince, Madison Birkbeck (sisters), Lucas, Landon, Finnley (sons), Erin Johns and Maria Hill (aunts) James Hill (uncle), Izak and Daylen (cousins) the Blossom Maintenance Crew, uncountable loved ones and Destiny Lockhart and Destiny Anderson. Ian’s biggest love in life were his kids and Blossom. Some of his other favorite things were his bike, video games, and home cooked meals.
In 2026, Ian started his 10th season working at Blossom Music Center. Blossom was his home and he took great pride in his job, especially mowing the bowl with extreme precision, making sure those lines were perfect. Some of his favorite times were with his friends and backwoods at Blossom. It was his favorite place to be and a huge part of who he was. Many of Ian’s coworkers watched him grow from a teenager to a young man and then a father. He earned a supervisor position under the mentorship of Jason ‘OJ’ Suggs, who considered Ian a son.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Blossom Music Center, 1145 W. Steels Corner Rd, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223 on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 5pm. Anyone who knew and loved Ian is encouraged to attend. Ian’s favorite color was green (forest green) so we will be encouraging friends and family to wear green in his honor.
“This is so much harder than other (losses) because Ian just had such a bright energy, every time he walked in the door he was laughing and smiling.
