John Kirschner

Beloved father and husband, John Kirschner (Age 89), lost his long battle with Parkinson's Disease on August 25, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter with those that knew him best.

John was a Firestone retiree before owning several local businesses, most notably Lakeview Market in the Portage Lakes, Akron, OH from 1996-2013. Kind, genuine, and hardworking, John will be fondly remembered for his ability to make people smile and the love he showed to his friends and strangers alike.

John died surrounded by his immediate family, wife Alice (Fohner), son Derek, and daughter in law Clarissa (Wylie). He is also survived by sons; John Jr and Keith, daughter, Jean, and siblings; Kathleen Kohler, Ruth West, Carrie Lewis, Betty Drews, and Robert Schweikert. John touched the lives of his extended family as well, including The Shapiros (Craig, Julie, Jake, Ben), and the Chevaliers (Michael, Jessica, Joi).

His family would like to thank everyone who has reached out to offer their condolences and support during their difficult time. John will be laid to rest at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Columbarium in Akron, Ohio.
