Joseph Sanchez

Joseph Sanchez of Akron, Ohio passed away surrounded by family, on July 20th 2026 at 89 years old. Born May 15th 1937 in Oak Hill, West Virginia. After marrying his wife Annie in 1961, He moved to Akron, Ohio where he was a truck driver for Waste Management for over 40s years, until he retired. Before moving to Akron, Joe served in the National Guard with an honorable discharge.

Joe was proceeded in death by his parents Paulino and Elizabeth (Kosma) Sanchez, brothers Paulino, Manuel, and Pedro, sisters, Ann, Sandy, and Eleanor, and his son-in-law Kenny Jackson (Tammy). 

Joe is survived by his wife of 65 years Anna (Bragg) Sanchez; daughters, Margie, Pamela, and Tammy; four grandsons, Daniel, Joe, Fred, and Kenny Jr.; two granddaughters, Amanda and Kylie (Kyle); five great grandsons, Dylan (Katelyn), Jaycen, Luke, Kylo and Atticus; two great granddaughters, Daisy and Aubrey, and one great great grand daughter, Emery; brothers, Franklin and Micheal (Debbie), and sisters, Mary Jane, Katherine, Linda (Delwin), and Margie (Dennis).

He was devoted to his family and had a big heart when it came to his grandkids. He loved being outdoors keeping busy and was doing so until his last days. He loved watching old westerns, nascar, football and baseball, especially the Cleveland Gaurdians. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a real life hero to his family.
