Judith "Judy" Lepley

On September 4, 2026, Judith "Judy" Lepley peacefully entered the gates of Heaven, where she was welcomed by her Lord and Savior and reunited with the loved ones she missed so dearly. 

Judy was born on October 16, 1945, in Buckhannon, West Virginia, and graduated from Northwest High School in Canal Fulton, Ohio. She made her home in Rittman for several years before moving to Barberton, where she built a life centered on family, faith, and the simple joys that brought happiness to those around her. 

Judy dedicated many years of her career to Rubbermaid in Wooster, where she formed lasting friendships and was known for her strong work ethic. While she worked hard throughout her life, nothing brought her greater pride or joy than her family. 

She was a devoted mother to Sandy (Danny) Ralston of Rittman and Brian (Paula) Sherrill of Uniontown. She was an incredibly proud "Gram" to Kaitlin (Cody) Lamielle, Connor Sherrill, Carson Sherrill, Tiffany (John) Ruiz, Sarah (Matt) Horton, and Hanah (Ben) Groom. Her greatest delight in recent years was becoming a great grandma to her five great-grandchildren. Each one held a special place in her heart, and every visit, every phone call, and every milestone with them brought her immeasurable joy. Judy is also survived by her brother, Bob Keener, along with extended family members, dear friends, and neighbors who were blessed to know her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene Lepley; her parents; and her brothers, Eddie Keener and John Keener. 

Judy found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved watching Hallmark movies, taking trips to Amish Country, shopping for the perfect find, sewing thoughtful gifts, and transforming her home into a Christmas wonderland each holiday season. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, and her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, conversation, and love. She cherished long conversations on the phone with family and friends, never missing an opportunity to catch up with the people she loved. 

One thing everyone knew about Judy was that no one ever left her house empty-handed. She always had snacks, candy, fresh cookies or chocolate waiting for anyone who stopped by, and she would insist that you take some with you before you left. It wasn't just about the treats; it was her way of showing love. She wanted everyone who walked through her door to feel welcomed, cared for, and just a little more at home. 

Her faith was an important part of her life. Judy faithfully attended Canaan Free Will Baptist Church in Creston, where she found strength, fellowship, and a church family she loved dearly. Judy had a gentle heart, a listening ear, and a way of making everyone feel important. Whether through a thoughtful phone call, a warm hug, or a handful of chocolate tucked into your pocket as you headed home, she had countless ways of reminding people they were loved. Her legacy is one of love, generosity, faith, and family, and those gifts will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing she has been reunited with the love of her life and those who went before her. We will forever cherish the memories she gave us, the traditions she created, and the love she leaves behind. 

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Schlup-Pucak &Wilson Funeral Home. Graveside service will take place 10:30 a.m. Friday, September, 11th at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Luncheon to follow burial at Canal Grille, 2223 Locust Street, Canal Fulton, OH 44614.
