Leroy S. Wise Sr.

Leroy Sylvester Wise Sr. was born on April 21st, 1936, and passed away on September 22nd, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Leroy worked for the City of Akron Sewer Maintenance for thirty-one years, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed fishing, working on vehicles and sitting on his favorite porch swing. He also enjoyed watching old country shows.

Preceded In death by son, Leroy Wise Jr., and daughter, Laurie Lance; his parents, Fred and Mary; sisters, Geraldine and Ellen and his brother, Vernon. He's been married to his longtime loving wife of sixty-seven years, Norma (Doney) Wise. He is also survived by his children, Dennis (Pam) Wise, Pamela Holloway and Jody Wise; eight grandchildren, Danielle (Robert) Agristo, Ashley Newell, Cody Holloway, Jessica (Josh) Pelfrey, Nicole Lance, Michael Lance, Miranda Scaffidi and Michelle Farmer; eight great grandchildren, Lucas, Taylor, Kaylee, Aubrie, Tyler, Austin, Dawson and Logan; two surviving sisters, Gloria and Marcella. Leroy also has many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron, Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. with Pastor Fred Webb officiating.
