Lyndon Wayne Garrett “LG”, born on May 8, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his chair watching whatever sport was on on September 1, 2026. He lived his whole life in Akron, half in North Hill and half in Kenmore, graduating from Akron North High School in 1972. He worked for several relatives in construction, then worked a short time at Alside in Cuy. Falls before starting L. Garrett Construction many years ago, specializing in roofing and siding. He recently also worked part time at Akron Auto Auction.
He loved watching and betting on any sports game that was going on and arguing about it until the end, golfing barefoot, drinking with friends, and playing poker with his daughter, Chelsea.
Preceded in death by his fiancé, Karen Eisenman (now reunited); his Dad, J. P. Garrett; Mom, Bessie Moon Garrett. He is survived by his “one and only” daughter, Chelsea Garrett (Megan Pracko) of Stow; sister, Debbie Spencer (Fred) of Tallmadge; step-sister, Jamie Pay (Gerald) of Nashville; Jackie Cross (Jeff) of Arkansas; nieces/nephews, and his loyal cat Breenie (one brown eye/one green eye).
A private family service has taken place, but in true Lyndon fashion, we will celebrate his life at the Carovillese Club on Wednesday, 9/23/26, 5:00-8:00 pm, all friends welcome, Sports attire is requested
