Ronald James Yoak, 49 of Akron passed away unexpectedly on Monday February 16, 2026. He was born July 17, 1976 in Akron, Ohio to James and Brenda (nee Grubbs) Yoak Jr.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda L. Grubbs-Yoak; grandparents, Carol (nanny) and John (pappa) Grubbs; great aunt, Eva Jean Grubbs; nephew, Timothy C. Riffle Grubbs; second cousins, John States and George States Jr. and third cousin, Chastity N. Caetta. He is survived by his father, James; sons, Kyle and Korey Morris; sister, Jamie R. Yoak; uncles, John (Lena) Grubbs, Tim C. (Kathy) Grubbs, Earl B. Grubbs; aunt, Tina M. Grubbs-Holcomb, Edith A. Grubbs, Sue A. Grubbs; nieces, Maddie and Aubrey; cousins, Rachel, Bailey, Kailynn and numerous other cousins.

Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Sunday March 1, 2026 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home,  788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
