Shirley L. Harkless

Shirley L. Harkless, 76, of Akron went home to be with the Lord,  Friday July 31, 2026 just twenty six minutes shy of her fifty sixth wedding anniversary with her loving husband, Larry. She was born on November 8th, 1949 in Akron, Ohio to the late Gordon and Mary Sinclair.

She enjoyed playing golf, euchre and penny antie poker. Shirley was a graduate of Kenmore High School Class of 1967 and worked for many years at Acme in the Deli. She loved her grandchildren and her fur babies. She was a mother to all and had many adopted sons, daughters, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carol and best friend for life  Tina Clark. She is survived by her son, Jason; daughter, Shawn (Larry Halleck); grandchildren, Sabrina and Sara Owens and Kasey (Fiancé Mathis) and best friend, Elanie.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m Tuesday August 4, 2026 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home,  788 Kenmore Blvd,  Akron. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday August 5, 2026 at the Funeral Home with Pastor Dwayne Ray officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
