Steven Wayne Goodwin, 75, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away on April 19th, 2026 in Los Angelos, California.


Steven was born on April 11th, 1951 in Indiana to Donald and Evelyn Goodwin. He spent six years in the United States Navy and was an electronics technician. Due to him scoring the highest in an aptitude test, he was made a teacher to train the crew. He was also tasked in mapping the ocean's floor. While stationed in South Korea, he met his future wife, Sun Hon Ahn. They were married in Akron, Ohio and were married for 23 years until Sun Hon's passing. He worked at Digital Equipment Corporation for 20 years and Mustang Dyno for 7 years before retiring.


He was passionate about ham radio and would often volunteer to service events such as triathlons and field functions. His joys of watching television ranged greatly from Shrek to Alfred Hitchcock movies and series. He loved listening to classical music and reading a book or two. His favorite author was Agatha Christie. He was a family man through and through.


Steven is survived by his children, William, Elizabeth and Catherine; sisters, Judith and Susan; niece, Kate; grandchildren, Damien, Chloe, Natalia, Felix and Rayven.


Calling hours will be held on May 13, 2026 from 11 to noon at Schlup-Pucak and Wilson Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Boulevard, Akron, Ohio 44314. His funeral service will be held after calling hours at Green Lawn Cemetery, 2580 Romig Rd, Akron, Ohio 44320.
