Daniel Bard Obituary

Daniel "Dan" James Bard, 69, of Akron went home to be with the Lord, June 26, 2020. He was born March 1, 1951 to the late Charles and Edna (nee Guilliams) Bard.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the V.F.W, American Legion and the Kent Elks. He retired from Chrysler with almost 30 years service He was a loving father and grandpa (PaPa). The light of his life was his grandson Pradit, whom he enjoyed spending time with. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, outdoor life and was an avid shootist.

A great time for him was having an Ice Cold Coors light while watching a CINCINNATI BENGALS, Cleveland Indians game or the Ohio State Buckeyes at the club. He also enjoyed boating anfd fishing. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George (Marjorie), Charlie; sister, Edna Marie (Guy) Sharp. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Bard; grandson, Pradit Bard; brothers, Joe, David and John (Elizabeth); sisters, Mary Reedy, Katherine Steffee and Margeret (Bill) Gohlke; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Friends may call from 10:30 until time of service. Military honors and Burial to follow at 1 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd Seville, Ohio 44270.
