James O'Connor Obituary

James K. O'Connor, 81, of Canton passed away suddenly on December 7, 2020. He was born July 22, 1939 to the late James and Mary (Vath) O'Connor.

He was a member of Mt. Akra Lodge #680 F &A.M., A.A.S.R Valley of Canton, York Right/ Knights Templar, Tadmor Shrine Director Staff and Akron Court #80 ROJ where he served as Director in 2002 and Impresario from 2008-2011. Jim was also the owner/operator of his own business for many years.

Preceded in death by his parents; he leaves behind his beloved wife of fifty years, Carol; sons, James (Jolie) and Robert O'Connor; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Michael.

Cremation has taken place. Due to the surge in COVID-19 the family has decide to hold a memorial service at a later time. For those that wish, memorial contributions in Jim's name can be made to the Tadmor Shrine, 3000 Krebs Dr. Akron, Ohio 44319 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105
