Jay H Fuller

Jay H. Fuller, 89, of Cuyahoga Falls went home to be with the Lord on December 24, 2022. He was born in Bradford, PA on June 21, 1933 to the late Howard and Katherine (nee Hoy) Fuller.

Jay was a veteran of the United States Army. He graduated from Albian College with a bachelor's degree and Case Western Reserve with a master's degree in Social Science. Jay had several different jobs including his first job with Family Services but eventually retired from the Veterans Administration in 1995 after thirty years' service as a social worker. He was a devote follower of Jesus and was studying the ministry as a young man but decide on social work as his ministry. While at the Veterans administration he counseled many of our veterans from WWII, Korea and Vietnam.

According to Jay's sons, he was a sports fanatic. He coached his son Joel's baseball teams for Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Rec where he was a coach in the league for years. He even coached his granddaughter Jessica's volleyball and softball teams. He enjoyed watching the grandkids play sports as he was always there cheering them on. When he wasn't at a sporting event, he was golfing. Up until a few years ago he was even throwing batting practice to his grandkids. He enjoyed watching the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was totally convinced that he could fix any Cleveland Indians hitter's swing.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy and sister, Alice. He is survived by his sons, Jim (Kim) and Joel (Hanna); grandchildren, Nicholas, Jessica, Kyle, Audrey, Daniel and Gabe and brother, Robert (Dee) Fuller.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd, Uniontown, Ohio 44685 with Fr. David R. Durkee officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to mass.
