Joe Huszar passed away on Friday, October 27th. He was a lifelong resident of Akron, growing up in Kenmore and graduating from Kenmore High School, class of ’72 – Go Cards, Go; Three in a Row! Joe had a huge heart and fun-loving personality which made him loved by so many.
He was preceded in death by his parents and lifelong Akron residents, Elmer and Genevieve, and a younger sister Jeannette who died at birth; and succeeded in life by his younger siblings Christine Lynch, her husband PJ, their children Matt and Emily; and his brother Paul, Paul’s former wife Elise, and their children Grant and Madison. Joe had a very special relationship as “Paw-Paw” for Anthony, who lit up his world and brought him so much joy. Joe was also blessed with a loving extended family and many dear friends.
He was the third generation to run Huszar Construction, founded by his grandfather, Joseph, for whom he was named, and his legacy will remain throughout the Akron area through the works of the Company and the impact he left with so many. We will all miss his infectious smile and laugh, but trust he is resting peacefully now.
Calling hours will be held at Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd., Akron, OH 44314 on Tuesday, October 31st, from 6:00-8:00 PM, with a celebration of life to be planned later.
