Ross B Emery

Ross B. Emery, (94) passed away at his home on December 6, 2018. He was a native of Akron, Ohio, the son of Ross Clark and Janet Butler Emery. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Betty Thomas Johnson Emery, and his sons; William Ross Emery and Billy Johnson. Ross was a graduate of Garfield High School. Ross joined the navy and fought in the Pacific Rim during World War II.

Ross was also the proud father of Bill Emery (Sue), Starre Wells (Mike), Mike Emery (Linnea), Sheri Hunter (Jim), Greg Emery (Muriel) Billy Johnson, Don Johnson (Susie). He was also a grandfather to fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

Ross was in sales for years and retired as office manager of Rex Reliable Plb. and Htg. In recent years he volunteered his time at Good Neighbors and is a member of Uniontown United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge # 60 Canton, OH.

A memorial service will be held at Uniontown United Methodist Church on Jan. 12 with a Masonic service at 930 a.m., followed by a family greeting and service at 11 a.m. with his grandson Rev. Bill Deckert presiding. There will be a luncheon at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Good Neighbors,1453 Goodyear Blvd. Akron, OH 44305 or The Canton Masonic Temple, 836 Market Ave N Canton Oh 44702  would be a wonderful gesture in his name.
