My condolences to the family and friends. How we long for the day when we don't have to fear death! Some bible scriptures have helped me cope with losing a loved one in death.. God promises at Revelation 21:3-5 that death will be no more. Also that those that have fallen asleep in death will resurrect and be reunited with dear loved ones again, to live forever in a beautiful paradise earth. (John 5:28,29; Psalms 37:11,29) May these scriptures also bring you you a measure of comfort during this most difficult time.

Such a great loss of a fine young man. Mattie was always there when anyone needed anything. His kind heart reached out to each and everyone of us one time or other. Always kind words came from his mouth and true warmth from his heart. Always a handshake offered along with a beautiful smile. Such a sad loss at such a young age. Do not judge him by his actions as he was easily influenced by others if he thought he was doing someone a favor. I always looked forward to seeing him whether it be helping out or just having a beer. You will always be missed Mr. Mattie. May God guard and protect you now that you live in his great house and give you eternal life as he has promised all who ask. God Bless your family in these trying times and show them that eternal flame will continue to burn. RIP my friend
