Albert E. Adkins, 78, of Akron went home to be with the Lord, October 11, 2016. Born in Aliquippa, PA on December 21, 1937 to the late Charles and Sarah Adkins.

He attended Sharon high school and graduated from Dayton University in Dayton, Ohio and Pittsburgh University with acknowledged Master's Degrees. He played high school and college football with pride. He worked various jobs along with Government Research Programs.

Albert fought a courageous battle with cancer and shared a life of love and happiness with Rebecca that they both expressed. He was a member of Wesley Temple AME Zion Church where he taught Sunday School and attended for many years before marriage with Rebecca and both joining Holy Trinity Lutheran Church as active member's and an Usher. Albert loved his Church and the Lord.

He was a faithful servant of the Lord. The Lord is the center of their marriage. Albert loved his family dearly. He enjoyed football, reading, working in the yard at their home, helping others, serving his Lord and daily walks. He loved people. He will be missed by so very many and loved forever.
